Full-Home Renovation in Redmond

Before & After

The Challenge
A 1988 Education Hill colonial was purchased by a family relocating from San Francisco for a Microsoft position. The home had original carpet throughout, a closed-off kitchen with laminate counters and 30-year-old appliances, three bathrooms in original condition, and a formal living room that the family had no use for. They wanted to remove the wall between the kitchen and living room, create a functional open-concept main floor, and update all three bathrooms before moving in.
Our Solution
Repair Point managed the full project as general contractor, coordinating structural engineering for the load-bearing wall removal on the main floor, installing a glulam beam spanning 16 feet to support the second floor above. All carpet was removed and replaced with engineered white oak throughout (4,200 sq ft). The kitchen was fully reconfigured with custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, and a 10-foot island. All three bathrooms were gutted and rebuilt. HVAC systems were serviced and new Nest thermostats installed. The project required a comprehensive City of Redmond permit package that Repair Point managed from application to final inspection.
Project Investment
